Homes in the Past: Victorian Objects
This lesson takes a closer look at some Victorian rooms and explores what they have that we don't and vice versa. Your class will use specially designed illustrations to identify similarities and differences between Victorian and modern kitchens and living rooms, as well as finding out general information about what it was like to live in a Victorian home. By the end of the lesson they will be able to identify objects such as coal scuttles, bellows and quills, as well as describing why you wouldn't find washing machines, TVs or computers in a Victorian home!
