Seurat and Pointillism: Shading
This Pointillism Shading lesson takes a closer look at some of Seurat's Pointillist paintings, looking specifically at how he used Pointillism to create shading.
The slides then show your KS2 children how they can use dots to create areas of light and dark, as well as how to blend colours, before challenging them to practise their Pointillism shading skills independently.
This fun Pointillism Shading lesson is fully prepared and ready to teach. There's a lesson plan, an engaging slideshow presentation for the teaching input, differentiated activity ideas and a range of helpful printable teaching resources to support your class and help them develop these techniques.
