The Tudors: Geography | England Then and Now
This Tudor Geography lesson for KS2 children in Year 3 or Year 4 explores the physical and human geography of England, comparing England today with England during the Tudor period. During the teaching input, your children are first challenged to spot some similarities and differences between Tudor London and London today, before the included slideshow presentation goes through some information about what England was like during the fifteenth century.
During their independent learning time, your class can then further explore and compare the geographical features of England in the Tudor period and today. Alternatively, take them around your local town and see what features would and wouldn't have been there in Tudor times.
