World War 2: D.T. | WW2 Ration Recipes
If you're looking for WW2 recipes for children to make in their WW2 DT lessons, you've come to the right place! This lesson for KS2 DT lesson will teach your Year 3 or Year 4 class all about rationing and give them the chance to look through some ration recipes from the time.
Once they have an understanding of what rationing entailed, they can then have a go at cooking some WW2 ration recipes for themselves. Will they try fruity buns, carrot biscuits or beetroot pudding? Or perhaps they would like to try out some of the suggestions on the helpful ideas released by the Ministry for Food about what to serve at a wartime party!
