KS1 History
KS1 History lesson plans and complete schemes of work, ready to teach.
KS1 History lesson planning packs, designed to help Key Stage 1 pupils develop an awareness of the past and learn about significant individuals and historical events. A range of old and new curriculum topics covered.
These complete History KS1 lesson plan packs include detailed information, history vocabulary, slides, worksheets and differentiated resources covering a range of topics. Designed for all teachers, but with coverage of the National Curriculum for History in mind, PlanBee History schemes of work include learning all about changes within, and beyond, living memory. Significant events throughout history are covered in familiar favourite Key Stage One History topics, as well as exciting new topics to freshen up your curriculum planning. History enquiry skills are introduced too – all to help prepare your young pupils for deeper learning about aspects of history as they progress to Key Stage 2.
In addition to the History packs included in this collection we also have a wide range of lessons focused on Special People and Decolonising the Curriculum. These schemes of work focus on significant and famous people and events throughout history, giving children a detailed look at the lives and achievements of a range of people including Ruby Bridges and Helen Keller. Read more about our pledge to decolonise the curriculum here.
