Locating Paris
The first lesson in this mini-scheme starts by encouraging your class to discuss what they already know about Paris, before learning to locate France and Paris on a map. They will then look at photos of Paris to start to identify some of its human and physical features, as well as finding out some facts about its geography and history. During their independent learning, children can use clues to label a map of France, or use different sources of information to find out about Paris.

Mapping the Landmarks
During this lesson, children will find out about some of the major tourist attractions and landmarks of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre Museum. They will then use digital mapping to locate some of these major landmarks, using different online features to explore them further.

Comparing Paris and London
