Differing Opinions on Palm Oil

In this Differing Opinions on Palm Oil Geography Lesson Pack, your KS2 class will learn about the different sides of the palm oil debate. They will find out, for example, how a supermarket manager might be in favour of palm oil plantations since it helps deliver low prices for their customers. Alternatively, a member of a wildlife charity might be opposed to the deforestation of the rainforest since palm oil plantations do not provide a suitable habitat for orangutans to survive.

Your KS2 class will then take on the role of someone who has either a for or against stance on the palm oil issue.
