Counting in Multiples
With this counting in multiples place value Maths lesson plan pack for Year 3, children undertake a variety of activities to practise counting in 4s, 8s and other multiples – including counting in 100s. The slides use number chains to with missing numbers to generate discussions and get children to work out which numbers are missing based on the information they have. They can then try this for themselves using the differentiated missing number chains, or order sets of number cards. For either activity, children will need to identify the rule in the pattern and ascertain which numbers in the pattern are missing.
