Black History Month Lesson Plans and Resources

Here, we've collected a few of our resources which might be of use to primary teachers during this year's Black History Month. 'Rebuilding Britain: Windrush' in particular focuses on Caribbean migration to Britain at the end of the Second World War. It includes accounts of Windrush passengers and the difficulties they, and their country men and women faced when they arrived in Britain – as well as the contributions of Caribbean people to British culture. Additionally, you'll find self-contained one-off lessons about significant black figures in the American civil rights movement.
