This lesson will have your class solving a mixture of addition and subtraction problems. During the teaching input your class will be exposed to two-part questions that include addition and subtraction. These questions will encourage your children to practise the skill of reading questions and understanding what they are being asked to do. This final addition and subtraction lesson gets your children applying their knowledge of using objects to solve problems. They will be encouraged to use different methods to solve problems including using objects and drawing representations. Challenge your class to work out if the stock in the shop is increasing or decreasing, and to match question cards to their answers.
