Starting out in a new career can be a steep learning curve. Teachers have a lot of balls to juggle and a lot of new skills to learn. This collection of teaching aids have been designed with ECTs in mind.
What is an ECT? For those of you not familiar with the term, ECT stands for Early Careers Teacher. This acronym has replaced NQT, Newly Qualified Teacher.
If you have any other resource ideas that you think would be helpful for you or your fellow ECTs let us know. If you would like some tips on improving your work life balance check out our how to achieve a work-life balance blog and our ECT Pinterest board.

My boys are loving the lessons at home now. Easy to download, easy to manage all the different lessons. Amazing. Thank you :)
You are very welcome, Stephanie! We are so pleased to hear that you and your boys are enjoying the resources :-)
Have now used this a second time, the children loved it across the whole year group. I have used this in both a year 4 and a year 5 class and works well...great way to introduce the subject of the Vikings.
We're so pleased to hear that your classes have enjoyed making their own Viking longboats! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, Ella :-)
Unfortunately, I am stuck paying for a subscription for a year that is completely useless to me. It was not made clear before I subscribed that you would not actually be able to download any of the PowerPoints and can only access them when logged in. Our school policy requires all resources and planning to be available in a shared area so that a supply can take over in the event of absence, and as the resources cannot be downloaded this is impossible. I have not been able to use the subscription at all and wish that this had been made clear when the subscription was started.
Hi Aimee, thank you for your feedback. We state very clearly in several places that the subscription does not allow you to download resources but that, for subscribers, everything is accessed via our online portal. We understand that some schools have policies that make this tricky. I can see that you have used the portal to access some of our Plant Art lessons – I hope you and your class enjoyed the activities. I will send you an email separately with some further information.
Well thought out sequence with everything needed for at least 5 sessions. Lots of activity options to include individual, group or whole class work. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you for your feedback, Jo! We are so pleased to hear that you have found these lessons useful :-)
I really liked the depth of explanation this resource had on the features of non-chronological reports. My students found it easy to follow and use.
That's great to hear, Mr Gee! We're so pleased that you and your class have found this resource useful :-)
