Teach your KS2 class all about techniques used to create abstract optical art, or op art. Includes detailed slides with op art images, and differentiated arty activities where children can make their own optical art illusions.

The final lesson in this series of six 'Art Illusions' lessons explores the mind-bending world of optical art (op art). In it, you'll challenge your class to think about how simple lines, colours and geometrical patterns can create various illusions. The slides go through some eye-watering examples that are sure to get them talking! There are plenty of opportunities for your children to create their own op art pieces too.

I purchased the Art Illusions pack which has been great. Really easy and straight forward to follow and so far, the children are loving it and being successful. It has been great to see how proud they are of what they have achieved and how quickly they have picked up and are now using the correct terminology. They absolutely loved having the choice of challenges.

Brilliant so far; my year 6’s love it and I have hardly any prep to do. Good challenge for all of them.
