What beliefs do we share? Challenge your children to consider what beliefs are shared in their school community, which of them are similar to those of other communities in their local area, and how religious beliefs help people in their day-to-day lives.

In this lesson, children will consider how being part of a Jewish family affects a young girl's daily life. They will go on to think about their own religious or non-religious communities, including how being a part of them influences their beliefs and actions.

Children will learn all about the beliefs and achievements of two inspirational people in this exciting lesson, before diving into a choice of two challenging activities: researching a person who inspires them, or discussing the influence of celebrities and other well-known figures.

This lesson challenges children to consider some ways in which religious customs may be different to those in wider, non-religious communities. The slides include a number of challenging questions for children to discuss about the difficulties this might cause, and how everyone can be respectful of religious beliefs.

In this lesson, children will think about challenges, such as peer pressure, that they and others their age may experience. Included within the plan and slides are a number of discussion questions about the difficulties of living according to a set of beliefs, and the strategies children can draw upon to help themselves.
