This lesson builds on the theme of finding patterns in and around buildings by giving your class the chance to create some rubbings of different patterns, such as brick walls, flooring and pathways. They can then present these rubbings in a variety of ways.

Your children are given the task of designing a class mural to represent a particular building in this lesson. They will think about what building they will represent and the design features that could be included in this. They will then design their own clay tile which will be part of the class mural, or create an ICT based design.

The final lesson in this series gives your class the chance to create their mural as they follow their designs to make their clay tiles or their computer-based sections. Once the mural is completed, they will then stand back to admire and evaluate their finished artwork!
