Take your children on a mission to space and back! They will be challenged to link addition and subtraction when solving space-themed problems.
Over the course of the five lessons in this ‘Can we link addition and subtraction?’ Complete Series, children use number facts, number lines, hundred squares and other methods to solve number sentences.
If your class are interested in space, check out our History of Space Travel scheme of work for KS1.
Number facts to 20

Your class will be encouraged to use mental methods when solving the problems, including applying their knowledge of number bonds.
What's included:
- Lesson plan
- Slides
- Activity ideas
