Baptism
This Baptism KS1 lesson explains to children what a baptism is and why it is a Christian rite of passage. Your class will learn about how Christian children are baptised, going on to read the story of Jesus' baptism. They will also learn about some of the symbols and objects associated with Christian baptism.

Holy Communion
This lesson introduces children to communion and explains what it is. Children will read the Last Supper story and will learn about why bread and wine are important symbols for Christians. The final lesson in this scheme teaches your class about funerals and what Christians believe happens when a person dies. Children will learn that Christians believe in heaven and that funeral ceremonies are held when someone dies.
