In this first persuasive techniques KS2 lesson, the children will learn about the different ways in which they can make their writing more persuasive. Themed around the first few chapters of 'Holes', the children will look at techniques such as emotive language, exaggeration, repetition and rhetorical questions. They then independently practise putting them into sentences that argue for, or against, juvenile correctional facilities such as Camp Green Lake.
