This first lesson introduces your class to Islam and what the Five Pillars of Islam are. Children will learn about where Muslim communities are around the world and why it can be important to be a part of a community of faith.

This lesson explores what happens when a new baby is born into a Muslim family. Your class will learn about where names come from and make inferences about their own name. Children will explore some Islamic names and what they represent.

This lesson teaches your class about the steps involved in a Muslim marriage. They will learn about the traditions and customs for both the bride and the groom. Children will also find out about engagement ceremonies and what Mendhi is.

#Lesson4MuslimFunerals

This lesson explains to children what happens when a Muslim person dies and the emotions people feel when attending a funeral. Children will learn how Muslims prepare the body for burial and how they comfort family members experiencing loss.

#Lesson5TheHajj

This lesson explains how the Hajj is one of the most important rites of passage in a Muslim person's life. Your class will learn about what a pilgrimage is, what happens on the Hajj and why this pilgrimage is so important to Islamic believers.
