In this series of five Leaders and Teachers RE lessons for Year 2, children will consider the roles and responsibilities of leaders both in school and their local community. Teach your class all about religious leaders in their communities, and those written about in religious texts, with colourful slides and engaging activities!

Each 'Leaders and Teachers' lesson includes everything you need to teach Key Stage 1 children about the role of religious leaders in communities, including detailed plans with clearly explained teacher input and a choice of learning activities for children, slides, differentiated worksheets, and other printable resources.

A Knowledge Organiser is available to support the learning in this scheme. It is included in the Complete Series download or can be purchased individually.

Leaders and Teachers: Knowledge Organiser

This Year 2 RE Knowledge Organiser has been created to complement the study of the Worldviews Beliefs and Values strand within our RE and worldviews resource offer. It is designed to support your children's understanding of key vocabulary and big ideas covered in this scheme of work, while signposting prior learning. Children are also encouraged to reflect on 'Ways of Knowing' about religion and worldviews, and to think deeply about the topic through the 'Thinking Questions' provided.
