#Lesson1Doubles

Give children a chance to apply their knowledge of doubles to solve problems, by helping farmers work out how many animals they have. The problems are accompanied by number sentences and pictorial representations to aid the children’s understanding. Following this they will be able to practically find doubles using objects or painting.

This lesson challenges the children to recall and use number bonds to twenty to solve problems, by helping characters in a sweet shop fulfil their orders. The children will then have the opportunity to play games where they apply their knowledge of number bonds.
