The first lesson in this series gets your class exploring toys that are special to them and why. They will read the Bible’s version of Noah’s Ark and learn about how children may play with a wooden ark whilst retelling the story. The children will have opportunities to retell their own versions of Noah’s Ark and can enjoy using masks and puppets to bring the story to life.

In this lesson your class with learn about three holy books: the Bible, Torah and Qur’an and the objects used with them: a lectern, yad, and Qur’an stand. The children will also learn about where you would find these religious books in a church, synagogue or mosque and the faiths Christianity, Judaism and Islam.

During this fun lesson the children will learn about different religious figures and the special items of clothes they wear. Special Objects

Due to a change of RE curriculum I needed a new free unit. This fitted perfectly with our Y1/2 and 3 curriculum.. What I would have liked to see was each lesson having its own LO as the LO that is given is the same for each lesson, ie The Big Question. I feel that the individual LO would have given the aim of the lesson.
