This 'Stories of Christianity' RE scheme of work for Year 5 and Year 6 will help your class learn about Christianity through some less familiar Bible stories. After recapping stories they will probably already know (such as Noah's Ark or the Christmas story), your class will explore different aspects of the Christian faith by meeting characters including Ruth, Daniel, John the Baptist and Paul.
With lesson plans, engaging slides, activity ideas, differentiated worksheets, story sheets, picture cards and many other resources, these 'Stories of Christianity' lessons provide all you need to engage your class in some of the oldest and most famous stories in the world.
You might also be interested in our Standalone lesson for Year 5/6 children, The Big Bang Theory, which encourages children to explore this scientific theory alongside other religious creation stories.
