This Tudor Coat of Arms KS2 Art lesson explores what a coat of arms is and gives your class the chance to explore the symbolism and colours used in the Tudor coat of arms. It then goes on to explore some further coat of arms symbolism, explaining how each coat of arms reflects the family it represents.

During their independent learning activities, your class then use what they have learnt about symbolism to design a coat of arms that reflects themselves and their personality.

This fun coat of arms Art project is sure to catch their imagination as they consider what the Tudor coat of arms says about the Tudor family and what they want their own coat of arms to say about them!
