This lesson looks at Warhol's early career as a commercial artist, looking specifically at his blotted line technique and how he used this to recreate the same image. Children can then have a go at using this technique for themselves, either creating their own image or using Warhol's artwork as inspiration.

The final lesson in this series studies some of the ways in which Warhol reflected popular culture in his artwork by portraying items that were used in commercial advertising, such as Coke bottles. Your class will then think about items that are advertised today that are part of our everyday lives and how they can use what they have learnt about Pop art to use these objects as the focus of a piece of artwork.
