The first lesson in this module allows your class to take a closer look at a variety of familiar packaging and think about how it was constructed, what materials were used and the purpose of the packaging.

This practical lesson gives your class the chance to explore a variety of 3D nets and think about which shapes would be best for a variety of types of packaging.

This lesson looks at the use of graphics on packaging and explores how different styles of graphics and fonts are used for different purposes and audiences. Your class will then have the opportunity to practise creating some different graphics for themselves.

Using all the ideas they have gathered so far, this lesson will get their creative juices flowing as they design their own packaging box for a particular purpose.

This lesson puts their skills to the test as they construct and decorate their own packaging based on their designs.

Please note that, due to the practical nature of this lesson, worksheets are not necessary and, therefore not included. Children may refer to completed worksheets from previous lessons.

The final lesson in this series gives your class the chance to reflect on the designing and making process as they evaluate their finished products.
