The first lesson in this series starts by challenging your class to think about how we know what our bodies need to be healthy. This is done by looking at how scientists in the past worked out the effect that nutrition has on the body, taking the example of the first-ever clinical trial by James Lind exploring how to cure scurvy in sailors. Your class also have the chance to design their own clinical trial to investigate how nutrition affects the body.
