#TheCompleteSeries5lessons

'Let's Sort Shapes and Objects' includes detailed planning, engaging slides, worksheets, games and a choice of learning activities with every lesson. Your KS1 class will recap what they already know about the properties of a variety of shapes, then learn and practise a range of skills and methods for identifying, describing, sorting and classifying 2D and 3D shapes. During this unit, your class will create identification keys and determine whether statements about shapes are true or false, using reasoning skills to explain their decisions. In the final lesson, children will apply their understanding to identify 3-D shapes in real-life objects.

Your class will use this knowledge to help them describe and distinguish between different shapes. In their independent activities, your children can use their knowledge of 2D shapes to play a game in pairs or match up descriptions to the correct shapes.
