Vet’s Lengths

This first lesson in the series introduces your class to length and making comparisons. Your class will enjoy participating with the interactive slides helping a vet measure a variety of animals. They will enjoy completing several measuring activities such as sorting pencils by length and measuring which wiggly line is longer using string.

Zoo Heights

Now that your class are beginning to become familiar with making comparisons they shall be looking at what height is and how to measure a variety of different heights. The children shall be helping measure zoo animals through interactive slides and classroom activities.

Posting Parcels

Explore what weight is with your class while challenging the children to sort parcels into groups. The children will enjoy a variety of activities exploring the mass of different objects and begin to understand that the larger objects aren’t always necessarily the heaviest item.

Weighing Fruit and Veg

Now that your class are beginning to master comparing weights they will enjoy a hands-on activity to weigh a variety of different fruits and vegetables and then use a balance scale to make sure their comparisons were correct.

Decorating Disaster

The children will enjoy helping Danny the decorator to make good decisions when selecting various tools to complete his decorating tasks. They will have the opportunity to use and apply the knowledge they have acquired as well as use the appropriate language to explain their decisions.
