This lesson is bound to encourage your class to think carefully about the language they use and the importance of being precise with their word choice.

During this lesson your class will use the language of left and right. They will follow and give instructions as they create pictures. This lesson will give your class the opportunity to become confident in their ability to identify left and right as they develop their speaking and listening skills.

The third lesson in this Year 1 position and direction scheme of work introduces your class to the concept of whole, half and quarter turns as well as clockwise and anticlockwise movements.
