Give your class the opportunity to show how confident they have become with using and applying numbers. They will tackle tricky addition and subtraction problems using numbers up to and beyond 100! Over the course of the five lessons in this 'Let’s Get Confident with Numbers' Complete Series, children will count in multiples, complete missing number sequences, use number lines and solve problems. Your class will also build on their understanding of numbers and use number facts to help them solve problems.
With each lesson, there's a choice of activities including games, and individual/group activities, as well as a set of slides, a detailed lesson plan and a range of printable resources.
Ordering Numbers
This scheme of work begins by asking the children to order numbers, fill in missing numbers and identify different representations of numbers. You will warm their brains up by encouraging them to think about the value of each digit in a number. There are opportunities for them to work collaboratively and independently to increase their confidence of number order.

Number Sequences
In this lesson the children will complete missing number sequences and order numbers while counting in multiples. They will be challenged to identify the amount a sequence of numbers is increasing by and select the correct number to continue it. Will your class be able to create sequences for their partners to continue?

Counting in Multiples
In the third lesson of this series the children will apply their knowledge of counting in twos, fives and tens to find the total number of objects pictured. They will be able to work individually counting in multiples to find a total or work in groups to sort statement cards.

Using Number Lines
The fourth lesson in this series challenges your class to solve number sentences by recording jumps on a number line. They will count in twos, fives and tens when solving the problems. There are pictures alongside the number sentences to help the children visualise what they are doing.

Solving Number Sentences
The final lesson in this series challenges your class to solve number sentences by recording jumps on a number line. They will move along the number line in jumps of tens, ones or multiples of one to solve problems. They will have the opportunity to either solve number sentences or create their own numbers when playing a fun, active game.
