Let's Use Number Bonds

Challenge children to make number bonds to 20, using ten frames, counting on and number lines to help them.

This Year 2 'Let's Use Number Bonds!' scheme of work is a great way to introduce your class to number bonds to twenty and get them to apply their knowledge of number bonds to ten. During this week they will explore lots of different methods of representing numbers and discover how different representations can make finding number bonds to twenty easier.

Your class will use ten frames to represent numbers and find how many more they need to make twenty.

Counting On
